Pineapple Salsa Bowl
Origin of Recipe :
Tropical
Ingredients :
  • 2 cups of fresh diced pineapple
  • 2 cups of diced peppers (any color combination is good)  
  • 2 cups of diced (roma) tomatoes / about 3 tomatoes
  • 1/3 cup of diced cilantro
  • 1/2 cup minced/diced onion
  • 4 Limes
  • Salt and Pepper

OPTIONAL : 1 seeded and diced jalepeno

Preparation :

Pineapple Bowl :

  1. Cut about 1/3 of pineapple leaving stem attached
  2. Make a cut around the outer edge of the pineapple fruit and make cuts accriss the middle too
  3. Use a metal spoon to loosen and scoop out the pineapple chunks
  4. Pour the extra juice out of the pineapple bowl so that it is empty

Salsa :

  1. In a small bowl, mixed together the diced pineapple, peppers, tomatoes, cilantro and oinion.
  2. Squeeze the limes into a cup and filter out all seeds an pulps
  3. Pour the lime jiuce in the mix bowl and mix all the ingredients
  4. Add salt and pepper to taste
  5. Transfer the salsa into the pineapple bowl for serving
